Oh my, I am honored that you looked at my site, your photographs are inspiring. I will definitely take a look at those other sites you mentioned too, I am always looking for new perspectives. I'm assuming you used a macro lens for these shots. Right now I have a small digital camera that I make due with, but I'm hoping to get a bigger more expensive kind. I've been looking at Nikons, any suggestions?

Again I really appreciate your comments and I would love it if you would continue helping me out. :-)

Yes, I used a macro lens on these. I'm actually nowhere near professional and have no formal training aside from learning from photography magazines and the internet, so I don't know how much of a help I could be.

As for knowledge about cameras I do know my stuff(kinds, companies, individual cameras abilties)(not trying to brag I just research them tons). If you want to make picture taking a serious hobby go for a ultra zoom compact or a digital SLR (coming in the near future, compact DSLR's). One advantage of the latter is the ability to change lens. I like nikons higher end DSLR's $1500 and above, but as that is out of my and most peoples price range and personal preference keeps me from their lower end cameras. Canon is popular and as such a little over priced, but if found on sale can be great. Sony is quite user friendly as is Fuji, and Olympus can have some neat features and zoom abilities. As for the rest they all have a star but can be very hit or miss.
